The Bible is:

Jesus

John 1
The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[1] it.
6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[2]
10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- 13children born not of natural descent,[3] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[4] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 14:6  Jesus answered him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me. (Good News Translation)

Salvific only when read and obeyed

1 John 2:5

5But if anyone obeys his word, God's love[2] is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him:

John 8

The Truth Will Make You Free
31   So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "(46) If you continue in My word, then you are truly (47) disciples of Mine;
32   and (48) you will know the truth, and (49) the truth will make you free."

John 15
6   "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is (1) thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
7   "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, (2) ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8   "My (3) Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so (4) prove to be My disciples.

2 John 1
9   Anyone who goes too far and (1) does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

13And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

Acts 20
32"Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

James 1:21
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

Jeremiah 5:3-4

3 O LORD , do not your eyes look for truth?
You struck them, but they felt no pain;
you crushed them, but they refused correction.
They made their faces harder than stone
and refused to repent.
4 I thought, "These are only the poor;
they are foolish,
for they do not know the way of the LORD ,
the requirements of their God.
5 So I will go to the leaders
and speak to them;
surely they know the way of the LORD ,
the requirements of their God."
But with one accord they too had broken off the yoke
and torn off the bonds.
6 Therefore a lion from the forest will attack them,
a wolf from the desert will ravage them,
a leopard will lie in wait near their towns
to tear to pieces any who venture out,
for their rebellion is great
and their backslidings many.

Eternal

Matthew 24:35

35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Isaiah 40:8

8 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God stands forever."

True

John 17:17

17Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

John 14:6  Jesus answered him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me. (Good News Translation)

Standard of Doctrine and Practice for the Church

God-breathed

2 Timothy 3:14-17

14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work

2 Pet 1:20-21

20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation.

21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (NIV)

Adequate for teaching

Colossians 3:16

16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

2 Timothy 2:15

15Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Acts 17:11

11Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Titus 2:7-8

7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness

8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. (NIV)

1 Cor 14:36-38

36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached?

37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command.

38 If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored. (NIV)

Col 1:25-26

25 I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness--

26 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. (NIV)

Discerning

Hebrews 4:12

12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Ephesians 6:17

7Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Perfect

Psalm 19:7-11

7 The law of the LORD is perfect,
reviving the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever.
The ordinances of the LORD are sure
and altogether righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the comb.
11 By them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.

Pure

Psalm 119:9-16

9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.

10 I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
12 Praise be to you, O LORD ;
teach me your decrees.
13 With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.
14 I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
15 I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
16 I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.
