Kingdom leadership Knowledge

secrets of the kingdom of heaven

given to you, but not to them

Matthew 13:10-12 (NIV)

10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”

11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

Luke 8:9-11

New International Version (NIV)

9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,

   “‘though seeing, they may not see;

though hearing, they may not understand.’[a]

In this way, Jesus made the information publicly available to those who wanted to press into it, while knowing that most would not be interested to do so.  Only his disciples cared to ask him later on what he meant.  Most will just sit through a sermon to be polite or do their religious duty.  Even what they have will be taken away from them.  Few will press in to actually clarify, learn, and apply the taught principles to their lives.

The heavenly pattern

Few people, Christians, and even Christian leaders will ever see or have a vision of the pattern of leadership God wants to raise up in the church to disarm the corresponding hierarchy of demonic principalities who are deceiving the nations out of their inheritance in Christ.  This is why signs and wonders do not follow us like they did Moses, Jesus, and Peter, or James and John, who kept their nets mended.  Moses saw God’s pattern in Heaven and brought it to earth, in terms of proper worship for God’s Nation.

Exodus 25:40

See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.

Hebrews 8:5

They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

We do not know what Moses discussed with Jesus on the Mount of transfiguration, but Jesus is thought even by unbelieving Jews to have brought Judaism to the Nations (Gentiles).  Jesus instituted a hierarchy for Kingdom knowledge transfer as seen at top.  He set a mobile, replicable, small group discipleship pattern in place before he ascended to the Father.  This pattern was followed by Paul and the other apostles, with the disciples following them, and continuing it on down to us.

Hebrews 13:17

Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

Apostolic Vision

Apostolic vision gives insight into the church leadership pattern in Heaven as recorded in scripture.  It is God’s will to release this Kingdom pattern on earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:10
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Will every apostle have and implement exactly the same vision? Do they need to?  In the coming years, God will give increase to those who replace doctrinal and structural (pattern) imbalances that impede the sustainability of revival with more biblical apostles teaching and practice (liturgy/pattern).
